TODAY IN MATH

Today in math I learn about Area of Regular Polygons and Perimeters and Area of Similar Figures. I kinda understood it. It is kinda difficult for me because if you don't know the formulas and understand how to use it you would not understand the problems.

Area of an Equilateral Triangle:

A=1/4 s2

Area of a Regular Polygon:

A=1/2 aP or A=1/2 a x ns

n-# of sides
s-side length
a- apothem
P-perimeter

Area of Similar Polygons:
a2:b2

a squared : b squared

Example:
Find the area of an equilateral triangle with 10 cm sides.

A=1/4s2, s=10
A=1/4 (102)
A= 1/4(100)
A=25cm2
